I would like to incorporate The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba into my science curriculum. I want to read this book with my 7th graders so they can be inspired by the amazing life of William Kamkwamba, while learning about other cultures and renewable energy resources. This book discusses many science concepts, but it also provides students with the hope that they can be successful in the face of adversity. I will be designing a cross-curricular project with my team so we can make the most out of this amazing book. To do this, I would like to get a class set for my students.
