My classroom is made up of children with special needs. We are sometimes in a resource room with only 4 or 5 students. Other times we are in an inclusion room with regular ed and gifted students. The ability level is across the board. The materials I have asked for will not only benefit my special needs students but will also aid in the education and understanding of the regular ed students. You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives. "Clay P. Bedford" The items I am asking for will inspire and help the students to learn and grow. My autistic students will benefit by having hands on opportunities and the books are about students with autism. These books will also allow the regular ed and gifted students to gain a better understanding of their peers.I want my students to have many opportunities to learn together and independently. They are an amazing group of caring, kind, and curious students.
