These hand bells will enrich the elementary music classroom for years to come. I do my best to make music a special class that they enjoy having new experiences and feel successful. They deserve new experiences for expanding their creative thinking. Research shows that playing any musical instrument uses both hemispheres of the brain. The more of those opportunities I can provide, the more of a well-rounded education they can receive. This project will allow them to learn new songs, and discover new techniques for instrumental performance. Most of our classroom instruments are few in number. The students wait patiently for their turn but it does take away valuable time that we could be learning a new song together. With three sets of hand bells, each individual student will be able to play in class with no one left out! My plan is to perform hand bell concerts for parents and other grade levels in the future. They are all excited about another musical endeavor and I am excited with them!
