Imagine you are sitting in a classroom. The teacher is teaching an awesome lesson. Everyone in the classroom is engaged with the lesson, but all you can think about is how you have not eaten anything today and you are not sure if you are going to. You raise your hand to let your teacher know that you are hungry, but she says I don't have any more snacks to hand out. How are you going to focus on anything else? Being able to provide snacks to students reassures them that they will get something to eat everyday without fail.
