My students are high-performing AP Psychology students at a rigorous STEM school dedicated to closing the achievement gap in American education. They are performance-driven, 21st century learners who are interested in studying across the curriculum. They especially enjoy studying challenging subjects involving increasing complexity and higher-order thinking skills such as math, science or engineering. Most of my students are second-language learners at a school with an AP participation rate of 82% and a minority rate of 86%. In spite of their language barriers, they are dedicated to improving their literacy through organized, innovative methods in all content areas.
