My student population includes a very large population of kiddos who speak Spanish which creates challenging barriers when reading novels, writing papers, etc. I would like to be able to use technology to my advantage and chromebooks would allow be to do this. I do not believe in stripping students of their language in the effort to learn a different one. I want to use these additional computers as a way to offer support to those that struggle grasping the English language. Whether it be translations, English/Spanish dictionaries, Duolingo, audio books, I don’t want students to feel lost or out of place because they are right where they need to be.
