Let's make reading fun again. My first grader are in New Orleans, Louisiana and our scholars don't have families that can afford luxuries like reading. Majority of our scholars are below reading level and this is one way to keep them motivated and engaged in reading! During intervention, scholars will go into centers while I pull small groups for extra one on one practice. Centers include: puzzles, reading, and math activities. I would also love to introduce them to STEM activities. STEM is such a great hands on learning tool and my students haven't experienced stem. I can't wait to see their eyes light up when I reveal our donations from DonorsChoose.org.
