My students need flexible seating for our classroom so that they can focus while I am instructing and also while they are working independently. Many of my students have plans that require special seating, but there are just not enough options in our classroom right now. I can tell that many of my students have trouble staying focused in their seats and would find these flexible seating options to be very beneficial. These flexible seating options would give my students the ability to get out their energy while being able to focus on the lesson at hand. I teach both English Language Arts and Social Studies topics which require the students to listen attentively to shared readings, work diligently independently, and also practice their independent reading. However, most school furniture does not allow for the movement their energetic bodies need.
