One of my main goals as an English Language Arts teacher, is to promote emotional intelligence as well as a love of learning through the pleasure of reading. I want my students to continue to use reading as a coping skill, as well as an escape when they need to. Being an adolescent can be difficult. I want my students to experience life through these characters and learn from their choices in their stories while also enjoying what they are reading. "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, but the man who never reads lives only one" - George Martin.
