Having fun (aka "working") with my students is the highlight of my day. I get to play, color, write and create with them as part of my job to foster their developmental growth in my school. It is an absolute blessing to be alongside these amazing kids as they explore their creativity and let their imaginations fly! What makes my job even more amazing is that I get to figure out ways to make this happen for kids that may not otherwise get the opportunity to do so. Many of my students have impairments which make typical childhood creative play like writing and illustrating stories, coloring, cutting, crafting, and sensory play difficult and often frustrating for them. With the help of a few simple therapy tools such as adapted paper, slant boards, weighted pencils, laminated paper etc., those barriers are removed and the hurdles lowered in order to allow them to reach their full creative potential! Thank you so much for your contribution to this project. My students will be thrilled with their new supplies!
