I want my students to have access to technology because their future careers will be driven by technology. My students also need engaging ways to practice the skills I reteach them. My learners also have varying needs and learning styles, and using technology allows my students to learn in a style that fits them best. Having tablets will allow students that understand concepts quicker than other to explore concepts in engaging ways, and allow me to work one-on-one with other students that need extra help. Technology also allows my students to collaborate with one another in genuine scenarios that mirror their future careers situations. Providing technology for my students allows them to take charge of their learning and transforms my role into an encourager, advisor and coach.
