These items will make a difference in my classroom because they will provide opportunities for my differently-abled students to have more hands on learning. I believe that every student can learn just not in the same way and not the same way from day to day. We need to find different ways to meet students needs when it comes to learning. Using games and tools that have a more hands on learning can provide a more meaningful learning experience for students who are neurologically different. My students are capable of so many wonderful things and they just need ways to show the learning. On a daily bases I use forms of games, hands on activities and movement to help my students learn. An example of this learning is, I have taken the game Candy Land and instead of just the colored cards I have added sight words to the cards. Now while the students think they are playing a game they are also integrating learning and practicing their sight words while also building their social skills.
