These iPads will be used daily in academic centers, to enhance communication for nonverbal students, and to build student independence in their learning. We will utilize apps that the students are able to use during math and literacy centers, to help reach academic and IEP goals. There are a variety of communication apps that we will introduce to our students who are nonverbal or limited verbally students to encourage communication and give them a new way to respond and interact in the classroom. The iPads will be used in a center where the students will independently access the apps and complete their work.
