Having Chromebooks will make a difference in my students' learning for many reasons. Technology is such a huge factor in today's world-- it is everywhere. Because technology is such a big part of our everyday lives, having Chromebooks in my classroom will aid my students' computer skills, typing skills, and allow them to learn while playing. There are many websites, such as Spelling City and Epic Reading, that help students learn more in a way that they enjoy--by playing. Also, today instead of writing essays on the big test with pencil and paper, students have to type their essays out on computers. Most schools do not have typing classes anymore, so having Chromebooks in my room can give my kiddos a jump start into learning the keyboards that will help them later on when they take their writing test in 3rd and 5th grade. Please help me get my 2nd graders a couple of Chromebooks to have in the classroom. I know they will enjoy them very much.
