The students in our classroom are bilingual and working hard to make sense of the two languages they are developing. We are hoping that this project will continue to support their growth. Dual Language education leans heavily on the concept of Bridging (creating a side by side comparison of the two languages) as well as giving the students meaningful context to use both languages. The pocket chart will give the students a meaningful visual and comparison of the two languages by putting vocabulary words and images from the week side by side. The other materials help them to have meaningful center work time, where students can use the language and work with the two languages with other students.
