Many of our students come from poverty and have experienced or are experiencing trauma. This bench will be installed on our playground as a safe place for students who need a friend. Adults will monitor the bench and will offer help and kindness to students who use it. Students won't need to ask for help. Just going to the bench will be their call for help. Then adults or even other students can offer their support and help turn the child's day and hopefully life around in a more positive way. We are stronger together!
