Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in or visit a different part of the world? What animals and plants would you see? What would the weather be like? What geographical features would you see? The task, should students choose to accept it, is to investigate a chosen biome. After researching and learning about the climate, plants, animals, geographical features, and real world location of chosen biome, students will create a visual presentation with 3D model or diorama that highlights elements of the biome. Students will give presentations to groups of students in hopes of convincing them to move or visit their particular biome. Using a rubric, other students will select the biome that they would most like to live in or visit. The group's biome that gets selected the most will win the mission. The materials requested will help students create their 3D models or dioramas. Students will be able to create detailed, realistic models or dioramas that will aid them in their task to convince others to live in or visit their chosen biome.
