Reading outside of the classroom is an important element in the development of a fluent reader. These recorders will serve several purposes. They will allow my 4th grade students to hear themselves read and with time they will come to notice that they are on their way to becoming fluent readers. The recorders will also allow me to make sure that they are practicing their reading and that they are implementing the strategies learned in the classroom.
Help my students unlock the joy of reading by allowing them to listen to themselves as they become fluent readers. These recorders will replace the ones that I've used for years but are no longer in working condition. This year I have a group of students that would greatly benefit from being able to use the recorders. In the past, students have made significant improvement in their reading fluency and by the end of the school year their reading fluency and comprehension have greatly improved.
The impact that these devices can have in the lives of these students is truly tremendous. Help me give them an opportunity to discover what literature has to offer. Thank you.
