Remote learning has been tricky so far and with outdated technology it makes the process even more daunting. Right now I am using my personal laptop since my school was unable to provide me with technology. Unfortunately, it’s a device that makes streaming and sharing lessons with students very difficult. Every day has consisted of videos freezing or lag time that stresses out students and parents. These challenges, have limited my ability to fully address the needs of my students.
Funding this project would allow me to fully provide my students with the access to learning that they deserve.
This MacBook will help keep my students engaged and excited to learn. Many of my students are learning to adjust to the routines of being at home. To add to this, many of them have social emotional needs that require consistency and routines on a daily basis. They shouldn’t have to keep hearing me say “please be patient with Ms. Davison’s computer!”
Also, the MacBook would allow me to connect with families better. I would be able to have weekly video conferences with guardians and provide walkthroughs to assist with technology questions or concerns.
I greatly appreciate your support and good wishes for myself and my students.
