I teach in a community-based program, meaning we are out walking, riding public transit, working, etc. rain or shine! My students do not currently have the appropriate gear to stay warm and dry while they are out and about in the rainy season. While this is not curriculum based, this gear will greatly affect my students' ability to have a happy and productive day when it is raining! Rainy season is coming and we will be out just as much as we are now, so it is imperative they have the appropriate gear to keep themselves clean and dry while we are accessing the community! My students are extremely deserving of every opportunity, and I want to provide them with the gear they need to be productive while working, volunteering and learning in the community!
