The kindergarten wing of our school is the perfect area to create a "mini OT space" for the students. The goal of this project is that all of the Kindergartners would have access to this sensory pathway throughout their day. A movement break would allow them to reset their bodies and minds to be more present in their learning. Many of our kindergarten students are extra wiggly this year! Sensory breaks and weighted tools help to address underlying factors that may be causing a child to be moving constantly or lacking the ability to stay attentive/engaged for increased periods of time.
