My students know that I am constantly stressing the importance of reading. We read every day; both for pleasure and for learning. My school does not have a school library and many parents do not have the time or means to take their children to the public library. With these books, I have the opportunity update my classroom library and continue to provide my students with excellent books to read. I can foster the curious spirit that I see in all of 64 of my 4th graders. Their reading and writing skills can continue to improve throughout the school year.
