Our FACS classroom is housed in a 60 year old building that is slated to be torn down next summer. Our district is currently in the process of renovating a new space for us. We are very excited for our new room and are looking forward to move in day! The district is spending close to a half million dollars on this renovation. We are reusing all of our equipment and appliances to help reduce cost. We are asking for 3 stainless steel prep tables to enhance our classroom environment. These prep tables will allow for demonstrations, added work space, and bring a higher level of professionalism to our learning environment. Student engagement and accountability rise when students are respected and treated as young adults. These tables will add to our classroom culture by allowing students to prep recipes in a professional environment.
