Our bilingual classroom library is in need of a more robust and bigger selection of fiction and non fiction books in Spanish. Sadly, the Spanish books we currently have are in poor condition, outdated and not engaging. The amount of Spanish books is very limited and no where near the amount of English books we have. My dream as a bilingual teacher is to provide opportunities for students to engage in stories in both languages and develop a love of literature. The selection of Spanish books needs to be just as abundant as the options we have in English. We would love to have copies of our favorite authors and series to read during our independent Spanish reading time.
