This rug will make a difference in my classroom by allowing a space that my students can sit comfortably and orderly in front of our SmartBoard for small or whole group lessons, especially for reading. It will add an area where children can have some movement and not always be learning at a desk or table. This will make a difference in their learning by allowing them to be closer to me in proximity for phonics and reading lessons. I will be able to see and hear them clearer as they read and form sounds to blend and make words. I will be able to watch them track words as they read and they will be able to see me model the learning clearer. Also they like to be read to so what better place to listen and see a story than on a rug!
