I teach 6 sections of 11th grade English in a Los Angeles public school. Our school has a poor reputation in the community due to race riots only a decade ago. However, despite the assumptions about our school, our students continue to work diligently to improve each year. They inspire me, and I want to continue to foster creativity and literacy with my students as we work toward changing that perception in the community.

About my class
