My students are interested in science because they see how it relates to their own lives. Young children should learn science through first-hand investigative experiences and active involvement. They should ask questions, seek answers, collect data and conduct investigations. Our classroom is in desperate need of engaging materials to make our science center more appealing. We can use the color discovery tubes to observe how colors combine, and the real bugs discovery kit will allow students to get an up-close book at amazing bugs! Science is important because it helps children develop life skills such as problem solving, research, and communication. In the next decade an estimated 75 percent of jobs will require Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics skills. Please help me provide opportunities for our littlest learners to have a bright future!
