I currently have 5 stand up desks, which I do offer taller stools at if students would like. Both the stools and stand up desks are extremely popular. Students are drawn to the 5 stand up desks and stools and every day, every spot is taken. I only have 1 other stool in my room that is low enough for our tables and every day it is used. That's when I knew I needed to get some more low stools. Having options for seating in the classroom has been evolving, especially in the last few years. Especially in an elementary setting, I feel like students need choices to decide how they can learn best, across all academics. It may start with a stool or a chair but it's a start. With 22-44 students, having more than a few options is my goal and this project will definitely get me started.
