My goal is a diverse, representative library. I want a classroom library that kids are excited to choose from, with characters that look like them, talk like them, and have lives like theirs. I hope to have a library that expands the way they think about the world and how they see themselves in it. My students love to read and want more books to read. They want to finish middle school reading as many books as possible that represent us and our experience. There are students in our grade getting close to high school who are not reading on grade level and this could help us move them to high school readiness!
