Students not only love pretend play, but it provides a great opportunity to work on many other skills. Pretend play encourages creativity, cooperation and communication as students engage and interact with one another. Through this engagement they increase vocabulary and language, work on problem solving skills, and enhance their overall social and emotional development. Adding this kitchen corner to our classroom gives students the opportunity to work on all of these skills while having fun! As a teacher, I love to see my kids learning and growing not only academically, but also socially and emotionally!

About my class
