I will be using Scholastic News in my Guided Reading Stations. It will expose my students to current events as well as engaging nonfiction articles. Scholastic News incorporates different ELA standards, such as inferring, vocabulary and nonfiction text features. Scholastic News is an engaging way to involve children in learning. It incorporates technology with paper and pencil for a blended learning experience. By receiving a class set, my students will have increased collaboration. Science Spin will help with my students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills while incorporating ELA standards. I'm excited to watch them grow as thinkers and readers!
