This kit will allow my students to participate in physical activities at different times than just at PE. We have an outside courtyard area that we can utilize with our balls and such in an academic activity but add the element of physical activity. By giving the students extra opportunities to participate in physical activity will reduce meltdowns in the classroom. It will also give them an opportunity to leave the classroom for another period than just to PE. This will also help prepare them for Special Olympics activities. Because of various disabilities, my students struggle with physical activity. This kit will give them that extra boost of confidence in physical skills that each of them needs. As they get older, and recess is not an option, it is a way to incorporate the skills of throwing, catching, kicking, and hitting balls.
