My room is called the Structured Room because this is the strategy we use to learn. We use a combination of adapted materials and technology to deliver the curriculum to students in a way that makes sense to them. When my school moved to Google tablets, it made sense for the majority of the student body. However, my eight students continue to the applications available on iPads. Also, the iPads I have available are out of date. These new iPads will be able to stay updated and be used to keep students learning. Students use iPads for modified activities to reduce to frustration with writing tasks and errorless learning. They also practice ABA type activities. There are too many possibilities to list here, but the number of affordable or free apps available that we use daily make the iPads a necessity in this room.
