Our student population has a large number of families qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. Helping our students with their basic needs will ease their minds and free them to focus on academics. If there is a "student needs" closet in the counseling office that teachers and students are aware of, it will help students know there is a place they can turn should a need arise at school or home. I plan for this to include clothes, shoes, hygiene items, and packaged snacks. I am excited to kick off this project and have an organized place to meet needs.
