Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Our classroom requires a lot of flexibility. Several students have IEP's that require flexible seating options in order to help students stay focused and continue their love for learning. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. I recently purchased a wobbly chair for a student who has ADHD and trouble remaining in his seat; and oh my the difference it has made! The student could stay focused for longer amounts of time, because he was able to move while learning. My students are more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given what is needed to enhance their learning. The products I have selected will help my students because giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools are great for desk/small group instruction. The wobble stool will be beneficial for students that just need to get the wiggles out and have trouble focusing. The comfy floor seats will be amazing for independent reading as well as small group instruction/group work with me! Students will be more focused because they are comfortable! I have seen the benefits of flexible seating in my very own classroom, by trying it out this year and have seen AMAZING results. I cannot wait until all of my students have to option to choose a seat to fit their needs. Learning needs to be comfortable! Flexible seating is the answer!
