The students will read the book "Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass." After reading this book each class will create a mural that summarizes the life of Fredrick Douglass to be displayed somewhere on campus. The mural will demonstrate Douglass' impact on abolition, Civil Rights, and America today. The books are a guide for the students to create this representation of his life. With the books, the students will take what they learned and create a mural, that will be shared with the school that can educate not just the eighth grade but the whole school. I believe this project will help connect the entire school and lead to everyone learning about different backgrounds. This will be demonstrated by how the students can explain their end product to the school.
