The Silhouette Cameo 3 software will enable students to basically create anything, then cut it out on paper, vinyl, fabric, or heat transfer material. The possibilities for these creative minds are endless! In my Foods & Nutrition classes, the Sihouette Cameo 3 will be used by the students to create recipe books, stencils, signs, advertisements, exciting bulletin boards as well as labels for their creative dishes that can be presented in a professional manner that they can be proud of. By implementing the ability to make and cut professional fonts and pictures electronically that can adhere to most surfaces, my students will begin to see themselves as true professionals and illustrators. We will use these materials to aide us in the preparation of becoming professionals in the business world; increasing their knowledge on the latest and greatest software programs. This will also provide a great opportunity for them to show off and share their work. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention, retention, attendance, drive, and focus, you will ultimately help build morale and increased self confidence. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology! Also, this project will help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
