Providing each 2nd grade student with their own copy of Charlotte's Web to read and enjoy will greatly benefit their literacy learning. I read this book to my students every year and it is always a class favorite. I want students to take ownership of their literacy and have their own copy to follow along with and read at home with their families. Students will be using their own copy to follow along while I read, read at home with their families, and reference when working on a literacy choice board project. Students will be more engaged in our literacy project when they have their own text to reference. By providing these books, I hope to get my 2nd graders excited about reading at home and at school!
