The students will be utilizing the Ozobots through cross curriculum activities. They will not only be utilizing them during computers but I will be collaborating with the Librarian for research and 2nd/3rd Grade for Science/Social Studies. Imagine traveling around a country or a state through the eyes of a miniature robot. The Librarian and I will be collaborating on a project for both grades. In December we will have completed the first project, Holidays Around the World. This project will have the students making a poster size country and having the Ozobots driving to different areas and exploring the sites. When they reach a site they will lift an image and read all about it, when they are done they will move on. The 3rd graders will be doing something similar but with individual states in the United States of America. The Librarian and I are very excited about the project and can not wait to get started. The lessons will also be modified to include our special education students in everyday class. Aside from the collaborative projects I plan on using them during class with my special education students for lesson differentiation.
