The current tables in my classroom are quite old and are not safe. They have collapsed many times. Additionally, as they are old there are areas of exposed sharp metal that can cut students reaching up under the table. These tables will also accommodate a larger number of students on days when needed. Investing in the arts in investing in our children's natural strengths: their creativity, resiliency, and open curiosity for learning about the world around them. Visual arts homes student's skills, both gross and fine motor. Additionally it increases student focus and attention to detail in all their school work.
