Mathematical problem solving is an essential skill that students will use throughout their life. I would like to create centers to give the students a hands on experience with understanding liquid measurement through an exploration of the capacity of the containers, and how the containers are connected to one another. Another center would be an exploration in critical math thinking through the use of the VersaTiles. The students would engage in these problem solving puzzles to further develop their understanding of the math standards in numeration, fractions, measurement, and data. It is my hope as a classroom teacher that you can help me, through your generous support of these math materials, to continue to inspire and instill a love of mathematics in my students!
