It is becoming more and more clear that the social emotional health of our students is vital to their overall success in school. Middle school is a time of transition for our students as their bodies, their brains, and the expectations placed upon them grow and change. The Wolf Den Wellness Center will provide a place in school for students to take breaks and recharge. It will provide them the autonomy to be able to regulate themselves during the school day in order to optimize their ability to succeed academically as well as socially and emotionally. In the center students will use the skills they are learning to enhance their personal wellness. It will be a safe place, always available, that students can talk with someone, move if they need to, or use whatever method works best for them to be able to relax and become calm. They will then be more able to make use of all the wonderful instruction our teachers offer while in class.
