The students in our special education classrooms love to build and create using their imaginations. The addition of the WeDo robots into our classroom will help our students with sequencing, planning, imagination, fine motor skills, and learning about various technologies and capabilities that exist. The WeDo robots are used as part of the elementary STEM curriculum in our school district but due to the intense academic assistance some of our special education students need, it’s challenging for our students to join their classmates for STEM projects. Based on this challenge, I hope to help bring the STEM projects directly into our classrooms. There are just not enough WeDo robots for both the general education students and the special education students in our district.
