With Halloween right around the corner, I wanted to take the opportunity to expand on what they think art is, and have them paint with fluorescent colors in the dark with black lights. With this assignment, we will have the opportunity to discuss light and properties of light thus incorporating science, and we will talk about the history of Halloween, when it originated, how the traditions developed thus incorporating and an element of social studies as well. This project would allow them to explore their creativity in a spooky way, expand what they think is possible, and in a way that would also allow them to enjoy the holiday.

About my class
