A large percentage of my students are English language learners, qualify for specialized education services, and qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. My students come to me on a range of academic levels, often with huge gaps in their education. A subscription for online programs and the ability to differentiate my instruction by using multiple Techers Pay Teachers resources will allow me to reach every student. My ELL students need various forms of translations, sentence starters, grammar support materials, and assistive graphic organizers. My students that qualify for specialized education services need assignments, reading materials, grammar lessons, written instruction and comprehension, differentiated to meet them where they are academically. Also, all of my students need SIOP aligned support materials that can be purchased, to assist with reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, reading fluency, writing (sentence and paragraph) and higher order thinking skills and strategies.
