Our district has decided to return to school with some safeguards for students health this school year. One of the safeguards is to reduce borrowing of traditional books from school and classrooms libraries. My 2nd graders work hard to increase their reading comprehension skills and having a variety of reading materials is essential to their journey as readers. With Kindle Fire tablets, my students can borrow e-books from our local library. Kindle tablets also have applications that will allow them to read digital books. The Kindles can be wiped down safely between students to ensure we are staying healthy and learning, everyday.
