A Buddy Bench will help teach my students empathy and social skills. There are always kiddos that struggle to connect with others. The Buddy Bench will be a place they can go sit, and when others see a classmate sitting on the bench, they can go ask him/her if they want to play. The Buddy Bench will be a great way to encourage kids to be kind to others! Other teachers and in my building and I will teach students how they can be a friend and include others that feel alone. This bench will also help teachers identify who needs extra attention.
