These sight word games will help us learn to read" sight words" in our literacy centers. Sight words are not easily "sound out- able" and need to be read by memorizing or "sight"! These sight word games will be highly engaging, fun, and give students lots of opportunities to practice sight words! First grades at our school participate in the "Read to Grow" program with volunteers coming in each day to work with students. Students rotate through literacy centers with the teacher and volunteers. These games will help me to provide fun sight word practice! One of the best ways to increase reading fluency is to increase sight word mastery.
