Listening Center resources such as portable CD players, headphones, and book and CD sets, will allow my students the opportunity to focus on the importance of learning through listening. These materials will add educational value, by enhancing the minds of my 1st graders. My students will have the opportunity to extend their learning through listening with these resources. This will give them an opportunity to learn critical listening skills, provides students opportunities to learn new words as well as, help them practice familiar words. Lastly, it gives students the chance to practice fluency. Having a Listening Center will allow for a differentiated resource during our independent centers.
