During this pandemic, my students do not have materials at home and I do not have the technology to provide them with a quality online experience. Some of my students are facing many challenges, yet they push through with the limited resources that they have. My students want to be prepared for mathematics next year, however they are missing some supplies and hands on materials that would assist them if they were in the classroom. I have decided to devote a room in my house to become a distance learning lab. I am asking for help to provide me with a document camera and my students with the necessary tools for learning, such as pencils, dry erase boards/makers, journals and sharpeners to assist them with feeling that they are actively engaged in the actual classroom again. A document camera will help me be able to show students how to work out problems while they are working them out on their own dry erase board. This will allow me to immediately address any mistakes before I release them to work independently. I also need post it chart paper as a way to put up process charts like we used in our classroom. These items are needed in order to assist my students with a more hands on experience just like they would have had in the actual classroom.
